It would be nice if you read it beforehand, but it’s not essential. The discussion will be started and moderated by moderated by Robyn Blumner, the head of the Center for Inquiry and of the Richard Dawkins Foundation,

I sent the flyer to friends and registered the day you first mentioned it and the sponsors have been excellent about sending out periodic reminders, even as recently as yesterday. So i am looking forward to it tonight.
I ‘successfully registered’ at Zoom, but subsequently I had to download all kind of things and accept all cookies (the ‘manage my settings’ didn’t work), so I can’t listen to the video, to my regret. If Zoom told you it was just a registration of name and email, they lied to you.

I enjoyed the talk, but I want to reinforce one idea that I think didn’t (and doesn’t in general) get enough emphasis.
Robyn Blumner asked, “Why not go after the Right Wing?”
Because “progressives” are the ones who have taken over university administrations.
Because “progressives” are the ones who have taken over research funding agencies.
Because “progressives” are the ones who have taken over journal editorships.
Because “progressives” are the ones who have taken over conferences.
Because “progressives” are the ones who have taken over textbook production.
Because “progressives” are the ones who have purged opposition views from Academia.
Because “progressives” are the ones who have taken over professional societies (such as the AMA).
Because “progressives” are the ones who have taken over K-12 education.
Nothing coming from the Right has ever come anywhere close to this level of control. Never have the Right-wingers ever attempted so strongly to undermine the very concept of science. Right-wingers may dislike the results of much scientific research, but they have never shown the level of totalitarian authoritarianism we see coming from the Left.
